Desde el centro de Nueva Jersey USA, el grupo Donde Estamos se formo en 2017 con la vision de combinar rock con influencias de Cumbia, Punk, Hip Hop, Tropical y Chicha. La banda se enfoca en asuntos sociales y politicos y la solucion de ambos temas.......amor.
Based out of central New Jersey USA, Donde Estamos was formed in 2017 with the vision of combining cumbia, punk, hip hop, chicha and influences particularly from Latin America. The band focuses on social and political issues and the solution to both....love.

Victor Gutierrez aka “Big Chicha” was born to parents of Peruvian decent. His love for rock, hip hop, reggae and the latin sound is what drives him when he writes the songs played by Donde Estamos.

September 2019
Sept 5. We will be opening for Los Cafres. Tijauano No! will also be taking the stage.
We will be at a musical festival which will feature Bronco, Jenny and the Mexicats and other bands. I will post more about this later.

The fourth video was released. Feel the Joy was shot in Santo Domingo and captures the fun nature of the Dominican Republic.

We are off to share the idea of love and compassion through our music to the beautiful island of Dominican Republic.
Donde Estamos is currently in the studio working with Arturo Barrientos who is an award winning producer (Shakira, Zion and Lennox). Donde Estamos is planning to release 2 singles before heading into the studio for their second EP.

We would like to thank the owners for allowing us to play this fun, kickass big little bar in Brooklyn. A personal highlight was the Chicha music that the DJ played at the end of the night. We were in heaven.

We filmed our second video from our EP Un Momento in Elizabeth and North Plainfield. Filming "Botaron El Presidente" was a blast. The weather was a little warmer than comfortable but all in all, mother nature took care of us pretty nicely. This song was written just minutes after the results of the 2016 election on a cheap little casio keyboard that i keep handy around me for moments such as that night.

Donde Estamos's fir. st ep is slated for march 2018
Donde Estamos is in current production of their first EP which will be titled "Un Momento". They have just finished shooting their first video in Plainfield NJ for what will be the first single off the album. The first release is titled Esa Negrita which is a political rock song with a dance groove.
First release "ESa Negrita" is political statement
Esa Negrita is a song that is a political allegory. On the surface, it tells the story of a man seeking love, understanding and acceptance of a beautiful but difficult woman.
In reality, the song reflects a man's open love letter to his government in spite of all that he sees. The man pleads to his government in the opening lyrics: "Explicame como quererte. Me dejas sufrir en este fuego!!"
This song goes out to all the politically worn torn countries that are afflicted with division amongst it's people and their so called "leaders". We stand with you.
